God created sex but he also
created boundaries for sex. The boundaries he created are
marriage. He did this for our protection because He loves each
one of us! There are physical, spiritual and emotional
consequences.
The physical consequences
are unplanned pregnancy and Sexually transmitted Diseases
(STD). Some are life threatening. More than 1 out of 4
Americans are presently infected with a STD. Some of these are
incurable and can eventually kill.
The emotional and spiritual consequences are also very real.
You may feel used, guilty, embarrassed and angry. When you give
yourself to a partner, you are giving a part of yourself to
them. When relationship separates, it is like a divorce. Your
sexuality is a gift from God and is meant for your future
spouse. The only 100% safe sex is to wait for any sexual
activity until marriage. |
