Seven Weeks
The embryo is about a 1/5 of an inch in length.  A primitive heart is beating, head, mouth, liver and intestines begin to take shape.

Eight Weeks
The embryo is now 1 inch in length, facial features, limbs, hands feet fingers and toes have become apparent.  The nervous system is responsive.

Twelve Weeks
The fetus is now 3" long and weighs almost an ounce.  The muscles begin to develop and the sex organs form, eyelids, fingernails and toenails also form.

3 1/2 Months
The fetus is now 5 inches long. The child blinks, grasps and moves mouth. Hair grows on the head and body.

4 Months
Your baby is now 16cm long and weighs 35 grams.  It is exercising all its limbs, kicking and moving about.  You may feel your baby moving.

5 Months
Your baby is now 8" long. Internal organs continue to mature.

6 Months
Fine hair grows on eyebrows and head.  Eyelash fringe appears.  Weight is 64g (22oz.)  Height 23cm (9").  Babies born at this age have survived.
